On-line Registration

Join us for an exciting day of chess and prizes. FRoG will be hosting a 5-round Chess Tournament to be held at Hillcrest School. This is a non-rated tournament that is open to children in grades 1 through 8. All levels of players are welcome. Each player will play five games of chess. The tournament starts at 10:00 a.m. (check-in between 9:30 and 9:45) and will end by 3:00 p.m. Please bring your chess set. You can either bring your own lunch or buy one (probably pizza) from the Girl Scouts.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION about the Chess Tournament:

LOCATION: The tournament will be held at Hillcrest School, 1435 Jefferson Street in Downers Grove.
DATE: Saturday, March 8, 2008
CHECK-IN TIME: 9:30 a.m.
First round starts: 10:00 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. (approximately)
Trophies Awarded: 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.
COST: $15.00 per chess player
BRING: Your chess set and bag lunch (or lunch money)

On-line Registration Procedure (Note: You can also register for the tournament on your super Saturday registration.)

  1. Enter the names and grades (in school) for players being registered. Note: Chess games are between players of approximately the same age.
  2. Fill in parent's name, mailing address, telephone number, emergency contact person, school, and e-mail address.
  3. Click on the Submit Registration button to record your information and then choose method of payment for this Super Saturday event. Decide whether to pay by credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express) or check. For credit card payments, we use PayPal (popular on eBay). For checks, we will provide a mailing address.
